A trek with a difference - April 1st-17th 2010

Ever wanted to do something different that combines the experience of a lifetime with helping a worthwhile cause? Do you have some walking shoes, a passport and a head for heights?

We are organising a trek that tackles the Thorong La Pass (the world’s highest pass, at 5,416m) in the beautiful Annapurna trekking area of Nepal from April 1st-17th 2010 and if you've said 'yes' to all of the above, we would love you to join us.

Why is the trek different?

While you are in Nepal, you will be able to see exactly how the fundraising is put to use – and the changes it helps to make to the lives of some incredibly vulnerable children.

Philip Holmes will be one of the group taking part in the trek – and he will meet you soon after you’ve settled into the Summit Hotel in Kathmandu to guide you around our Godawari children’s refuge, just outside the capital.

We hope you will not only be impressed by our work but will find it a suitable motivation ahead of the trek. (You will also be able to speak with real authority on your return to sponsors about where the money they donate will be going).

The full cost of the trip (excluding airport taxes, visas and insurance) will be around £2,995 – of which £1,100 goes direct to the Trust. Up to 30 places are available for people who can commit to reaching the fundraising total.

Not based in the UK but would still love to take part?

We can make arrangements to suit people who are based outside Europe. You would still need to meet the full costs of the trek and accommodation, but this would obviously be at a reduced rate.

Full details will be confirmed upon enquiry – please use this information as a guideline only.

If you are interested in finding out further details, please email chris.kendrick@ebtrust.org.uk.
