Himalayan Jewellery showcased at glamourous Metric Collective movement.
We are delighted and honoured that Himalayan Jewellery ranges were chosen to participate in the Metric 'pop-up' shop in the world-famous Columbia Road throughout the summer of 2011.
Himalayan Jewellery is the initiative we have created in Nepal to train deaf young women and trafficking survivors as professional artists.
The project started last year when professional silversmith Nicola Turnbull volunteered in our art workshops in Nepal, building on the mosaic training we had already offered, to help design and develop a range of stunning hallmarked silver jewellery. A succession of art professionals have followed in Nic's footsteps to help the project grow.
All proceeds pay the artists and ensure that other vulnerable young women are provided an opportunity to learn a range of skills that can help them towards an independent adult life.
