Mosaic for Good
Mosaic artist Karla Duterloo has launched an exciting initiative that will give artists the opportunity of having their work seen by visitors to NHS Trust hospitals in London while helping to raise money for trafficking survivors in Nepal.
The project came about after Karla spoke with renowned mosaic artist Martin Cheek, who is a long-term supporter of The Esther Benjamins Trust.
Karla loved the notion that mosaic art was playing a role in the rehabilitation of Nepali children rescued by the charity and wanted to use mosaics in the UK to raise funds for the charity’s work in Nepal.
Karla is inviting artists to submit a mosaic for the project and encourages their friends and family to ‘sponsor’ the placement of the mosaic in a hospital by making a donation direct to The Esther Benjamins Trust.
The mosaics will then be featured in a book about the project, once again showcasing the work of participating artists.
