Brownies

How about asking your Brown Owl about raising money for EBT when you do your badge so you can help rescue other girls who aren't having as much fun as you doing their circus skills? You could either charge Mums and Dads to come and watch or turn it into a sponsored event. We can give you balloons and posters to advertise it, all you have to do is ask.

The 1st St Mary’s Platt Brownies raised some money for us whilst they had fun doing their circus skills badge

Guides can do Circus Skills too - or, if you are doing your Baden Powel Challenge there is plenty you can do for Zone 2: Global awareness
Guides and Scouts

We have recently started a scout group in Nepal - the children we have rescued will be working towards their badges soon!

While we haven’t managed to find a Circus Skills badge for Cubs, you could do them as a hobby:

Scouts can do Circus Skills badges.

You could stage a performance to help raise awareness of our work. Perhaps you could do it in the town centre (check with the council first) explaining to people that while your circus performance is good fun, there are other children in the world to whom the idea of the circus is the exact opposite.

Alternatively you could look at our work for your global badge – sadly, you can compare it to trafficking in the UK as it happens here too.

If you are an Explorer Scout, then how about considering volunteering in Nepal for your Chief Scout Diamond or Platinum Award? There are many ways in which we could benefit from your help, while you learn a range of skills during the experience of a lifetime.
