A CELEBRATION OF WOMANHOOD

On Saturday 25th August 2007 Rachel Anning, one of our supporters in Australia, organised a fundraising event at City Hall, Ann St, Brisbane.

We are pleased to announce that Rachel's efforts led to a donation of nearly £500 towards The Esther Benjamins Trust, for which we are very grateful.

Janet Fraser, the National Convenor of Joyous Birth, delivered a wealth of knowledge and experience from running the world’s only forums solely devoted to homebirth. She is a mother of two, one born in her study which is where she does all her best work.

Wendy Dumaresq, a Herbalist and Natural Fertility Management Counsellor. B.Bus, Dip Med Herb, Ad Cert NFM offered listeners an insight of her specialisms in pre-conception, natural contraception and conception, fertility problems, pregnancy and post-natal.

Dr Sarah Buckley, a GP and the author of 'Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering: The wisdom and science of gentle choices in pregnancy, birth and parenting' revealed the background to her book.

We'd like to thank Rachel for her efforts to promote our work to an Australian audience.
