Each year the Trust derives invaluable financial support through events and challenges organised by individuals of all
ages.
Some stage art exhibitions or small craft fairs, while others elect to take on a personal
challenge they enjoy that at the same time raises vital funds for our work.
Marathons, skydives and treks are just some of the challenges our supporters have been accepting.

CHALLENGES
Trekking
An example of this is the charity trek that we are happy to facilitate on an individual or
small group basis through the Tansen
Trek trekking agency that offers bespoke, low cost treks throughout the Himalayas.
After brokering the contact for you we will give you every assistance towards reaching your
personal fundraising goal and the achievement of a lifetime.
This year we have treks to Everest
Base Camp in November and December which will be conducted on our
behalf by the Ultimate Travel Company and Discover Adventure. Supporter Angela Sherman participated
in the Everest Base Camp trek in 2005 and you can read
her account to see if you feel like following in her footsteps.
Furthermore, in February 2007 three of our supporters took part in our Annapurna Challenge and faced unexpected weather conditions.

Open Challenges
We also support individuals who wish to take part in "open challenges" in the UK, Paris, China, Cuba and Iceland to name a few.

Running
Should running be your forte then there are a number of options
according to ability.
We offer a very limited number of "Golden Bond"
places in The London
Marathon in April and the Edinburgh Marathon
in May.
In return for a guaranteed running slot at these events we
require runners to give us a written undertaking (bond) to raise a
minimum of £1250 in sponsorship for the former and £750 for
the latter. These are comparatively cheap bond places and we are able
to offer such a competitive rate by adopting a "no frills" approach
to runners.
Skydiving
If you haven't got a head for heights and would like a massive challenge that requires
absolutely no training then you can join one of our skydives at the
London Parachute School
Read the experiences of some of our supporters who have taken part in these skydiving events.
EVENTS
The Great British Duck Race
On Sunday 31st August over 165,000 plastic ducks will be launched from Hampton Court Palace in this exciting charity fundraising event that all the family can take part in.
We're told that all of the ducks representing EBT are in a rigorous training programme for the big day so why not adopt one of them.

Supporters' Lunches
Every year many of our Supporters come together to meet EBT Supporters' Trust staff, Trustees and volunteers and
hear personal updates about our work from Director Philip Holmes.
Click here to see photos of our 2007 event that was
held at The Munal restaurant in Putney.
And of course please do contact
us if you are interested in attending this year's event on Saturday 6th December.
Elements Exhibition
From 18-30 September former Trust volunteer Maghin Tamilarasan's work was displayed at the
"Elements" photographic exhibition in London. He donated proceeds from the sales of the photographs towards our work so a huge thank
you from us all for his kind support.

Brisbane Fundraiser
On Saturday 25th August 2007 Rachel Anning, one of our supporters
in Australia, organised a fundraising event in Brisbane.

Contact us
Camilla Kinchin at our London office is very happy to advise on any of these activities or to
discuss any other challenging interests that you might have (within reason!). Do have a look
at the online fundraising pages of other supporters at our Justgiving site
and perhaps join a challenge at least in spirit through your
credit card.
