Transforming the lives of marginalised and disadvantaged Nepalese children

We currently have 87 children in long term care in our CEDAR programme. These children were rescued from the prisons and the streets of Nepal.
As numbers grow we have an ongoing need for new sponsors who are willing to provide support for a child on a monthly basis - money that will be spent directly on the welfare and care of an individual named child.

Our sponsorship programme is pitched at three levels:

General Sponsorship (Ł25 per month, or the equivalent in other currencies) covers the daily care of the child e.g food, accommodation, clothing, medical care and local support staff wages.

Education Sponsorship (Ł15 per month) that purely meets education costs.

Recreation Sponsorship (Ł5 per month) enables us to broaden the range of stimulating activites on offer to the children.

In return for this support the sponsor receives a six-monthly update on the child's progress along with a latest photograph and drawing.

100% of your monthly donation goes directly to the care of the child you are sponsoring in Nepal. Our administrative costs are met by unrestricted donations, from tax we recover through Gift Aid, and, of course, volunteer support in the office.

Please note that we do not permit direct correspondence between children and sponsors; this is to avoid some children feeling neglected if they receive no letters. Also, for the same reason, any presents that sponsors may wish to send to their child should be suitable for use by all of the refuge children.

If you would like to sponsor a child please complete the direct debit instruction and, if appropriate, a gift aid form. We are happy to receive the sponsorship as a quarterly or annual payment if this is more convenient for the sponsor.
