Volunteer in Nepal
Are you passionate about art? Could you share your love of art
with willing students? We are currently seeking artists prepared
to donate their time and energy to help victims of child trafficking
in their rehabilitation. If you believe you have the skills, patience
and resourcefulness to make a difference, please read on…
Our second Child Trafficking Victims Art Workshop is currently underway
just outside Kathmandu. We teach young female survivors of child
trafficking a range of marketable art skills that can help them
to permanently escape the clutches of poverty.
Each three-month
workshop provides art therapy and valuable training to victims of
trafficking. We utilise the talents of professional artists who
wish share their knowledge with willing students while at the same
time experiencing the trip of a lifetime. Translators are at hand
to help throughout each workshop. Alex Hunter (ceramics, pictured
right) and Rebecca Hawkins (sculpture) have coordinated the first
two workshops, and have already made a huge impact. To read more

How does it work?
We ask that you fund your airfare and try to make a minimum commitment
for a full 3-month workshop - it takes time to establish relationships
with the children and we want your trip to be as rewarding for you
as it is to them. (In exceptional circumstances we can negotiate
shorter placements.)
In return your accommodation, local meals and insurance
are provided by us.
Please send your CV to camilla.kinchin@ebtrust.org.uk if you are
interested in helping Nepal's child trafficking victims to a brighter
future. |
