Treks
Nepal
Treks are a fantastic way for people to experience the wonders of Nepal while helping to raise funds for our work with some of the country's poorest children.
For all its poverty and social desperation, Nepal is blessed with one of the finest natural features known to humankind – The Himalaya mountain range. Treks take advantage of the beautiful environment with a fully-coordinated challenge that takes place against the backdrop of Mount Everest.
Our April 2010 trek will be in the Annapurna region
UK
You don’t have to travel halfway around the world to participate in an arduous walking challenge. In the UK alone there are notable walking feats such as The Three Peaks Challenge and The Great Glen Walk – plus numerous others.
The scenery will still be one of astounding beauty, and your legs will still be seeking a hot bath at the end of each day – and we will still be able to use the money you raise for your efforts to help the children we care for in Nepal.
To many, the idea of training for and ultimately running just over 26 miles in one attempt is patently ludicrous.
However, there are now many variations on the traditional running theme - meaning there is probably one to suit nearly everyone. Whether you would like to participate in a short run, a marathon or any other running challenge, we can support you throughout your preparation.
For those of you who use the internet a lot, JustGiving offers a simple and secure way to raise funds for The Esther Benjamins Trust. You can set up your own page – or we can help you – and then your friends and family can easily pledge money. It’s a simple way for you to see how much you’ve raised, and means you won’t have to traipse around from person to person with a sheet of paper.
However, if you do like the traditional sponsorship form, we can print some up and post them to you well in advance of the big day. Wherever possible, we will also get out and about to support you at the event.
