RUNNING EVENTS 2012

Maya (above) was trafficked from Nepal into a violent Indian circus when she was just nine years old. For two years she was forced to work as a performer and kept in the clutches of circus owner Raza Khan.

We rescued Maya in 2004 (Khan drew a pistol on our rescue team but failed to deter us) and Maya joined our children’s refuge in Kathmandu. Since then she has been in the full-time care of the Trust and last September left school to train as a health assistant, funded by EBT.

Maya has also become an accomplished distance runner and on the 30th May 2011 she tackled the street of London with our EBT team of runners.

Follow in Maya's footsteps in 2012!
